Kota Kinabalu: The parking lots in front of the Menggatal Community Hall will be temporarily closed from 3pm today (Friday) until 12pm on Sunday to make way for the sub-district’s Christmas celebrations.
Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip, in a statement, said the event co-organised with the Council of Menggatal Churches would begin with a night of Christmas Praise and Worship.
“On Saturday, from 6am until midnight, there will be a Christmas Innovation competition, followed by the celebration’s opening ceremony. The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday until 12pm.
“City Hall advises the public and road users to obey enforcers who will be present throughout the whole event tasked in maintaining safety and ease of traffic. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” she said.
