Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah cloud seeding team departed from Labuan on Thursday.

On his official Facebook page, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor shared several photos of the operation.

The Chief Minister previously said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) had recommended cloud seeding operations over areas affected by the hot and dry weather from March 28-30.

He said the operations will be based on the forecast suitable cloud atmosphere with rain potential if cloud seeding is done.

Labuan-based Royal Malaysian Air Force would also provide logistics support along with the Chief Minister's Department's Internal Affairs and Research Office.
