Club Brugge whizkid Antonio Nusa admits rejecting a big money move to Chelsea last week.
The 18-year-old left Norwegian Stabaek for Belgians Club Brugge in the summer of 2021.
Chelsea came in for Nusa before Friday's transfer deadline day, but Nusa and his agents resisted.
"We had to have another conversation when the money arrived, but we were on the same page, so there were no problems there. I knew what I was going to do anyway, so it was good," Nusa told TV 2.
"I want to be a footballer, but not just a footballer. I and those around me want to create as good a career as possible. I have to make the right choice. I went to Bruges. It went very quickly. Now I'm in a situation where I want the next step, when it happens, to be something I've really thought through. I want to find what is right for me. It is important to me. I think about what is best for me."
On the Chelsea offer, Nusa adds: "It was a lot of money. A lot of money. But I try not to think about it too much. I can't focus on it. I don't think it's good for me."
