KUDAT: Kudat has strong potential to lead in Sabah’s Blue Economy due to its strategic location and deep-sea facilities, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor.
He said the proposed Kudat Industrial Park and a new ferry route to Palawan would boost trade, tourism, and create jobs. The Blue Economy, launched last year, is seen as key to diversifying Sabah’s economy.
Hajiji also praised the Basel Christian Church of Malaysia for establishing the Ship-Chapel Landmark and Hakka Historical Gallery, highlighting their cultural value and potential to attract tourism.
The State Government remains committed to supporting all communities, allocating RM70 million this year to non-Muslim religious bodies, mission, and private schools.
