
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday met Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Chief Executive Officer of the Flipkart Group, and Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi today. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on further strengthening Flipkart’s partnership with Haryana.
The Chief Minister and the Flipkart leadership deliberated on leveraging technology to expand market access for farmers and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), strengthen the agricultural value chain, promote entrepreneurship, enhance skilling and employment opportunities, and accelerate inclusive economic growth across the state.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also discussed possibilities for deepening cooperation in the areas of horticulture and fresh produce sourcing. The objective is to ensure that a larger number of farmers and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) from Haryana are able to access wider markets through technology-enabled supply chains.
On the occasion, the Flipkart Group reiterated its long-term commitment to Haryana. The company stated that it remains committed to creating new opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs and local businesses across the state through its continued partnership with the Haryana Government.
The discussions reflected a shared commitment to harnessing technology, innovation and digital commerce to strengthen rural prosperity, promote entrepreneurship and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the people of Haryana.
