KENINGAU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged district officers (DOs) and assistant district officers (ADOs) to adopt a responsive, proactive, and integrity-driven work culture, while remaining bold in embracing new approaches to enhance public service delivery.
Speaking at the opening of the 29th Sabah District Officers’ Conference on Monday, he stressed that all administrative actions must strictly adhere to regulations, good governance, and public interest.
He said the state administration must continually improve its efficiency to meet rapid technological advances, economic shifts, and rising public expectations under the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 development agenda.
Highlighting district offices as key grassroots links between the government and the community, Hajiji instructed officers to address local issues promptly and avoid treating project delays as normal.
He added that administrative stability, clear policies, and strong coordination across all levels of the government machinery are vital to ensure development initiatives deliver tangible benefits to the people within stipulated timeframes.
