CM urges swift execution of 'low-hanging fruit' projects in Sabah

Issues affecting the public raised during the recent State Legislative Assembly sitting must be resolved quickly through high-impact and low-cost "low-hanging fruit" projects, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said.

Chairing the State Development Action Council (MTPNg) meeting at Menara Kinabalu on Monday, Hajiji highlighted that while mega projects drive long-term growth, smaller initiatives deliver immediate benefits addressing basic needs such as water, electricity, roads, drainage, and education.

He urged all ministries, departments, and implementing agencies to resolve project execution bottlenecks immediately to ensure development targets are met without delay.

Hajiji also called on agencies to enhance inter-agency coordination and fully utilise MTPNg meetings as a proactive platform for solution-oriented discussions.

Reaffirming the State Government's commitment to strategic cooperation with the Federal Government, he emphasised aligning implementation efforts with the Malaysia Madani and Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 frameworks to accelerate state progress and improve quality of life.
