Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia today raised serious allegations of corruption and expressed concern over the safety of a private forensic expert. Majithia alleged that the expert had arranged a fake forensic report related to the purported blasphemy video involving Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He alleged that the forensic expert had taken Rs 10 lakh for arranging the fake report. He added that after it had come out in the open that he had facilitated the fake report, his life was in danger.
Majithia added that a meeting between the forensic expert and two police officers was held at a hotel in Amritsar. Both officials, whom Majithia named, have denied the allegations as “baseless”.
Majithia, however, went on to say, “I am stating all this with full responsibility. The meeting was held in the morning and I have a video of it. The most concerning part is that the money which was delivered to the forensic expert was kept in a government vehicle."
The row erupted after the Akal Takht declared CM Mann a Guru-Dokhi” (anti-Guru) and “Khalsa Panth Virodhi” (opposed to the Khalsa Panth) over the video, which forensic reports commissioned by the Takht concluded was authentic and not AI-generated.
CM Mann was quick to respond that the person shown in the video who committed the blasphemous act was not him.
