KENINGAU: The Malaysian Cocoa Board (LKM) aims to achieve the target of RM8 billion in export revenue for cocoa products in the country this year.
LKM Director Datuk Dr Ramle Hj Kasin said the Malaysian Cocoa Board demonstrated impressive performance last year, achieving a total of RM7.8 billion.
“We hope that this year we can reach up to RM8 billion.
“We hope this will also benefit farmers, especially those involved in growing cocoa in Sabah, Sarawak and the peninsula,” he said after the mini-inauguration ceremony of the MPK cocoa processing and the closing ceremony of the Perdana Mukim Cocoa Campaign in Lanas in Sook.
