  • Heavy rain is forecast for northern England and Wales on Saturday, moving across East Anglia and the southeast later in the day, with potential hail and snow on Scottish hills.
  • Wet and windy conditions will continue on Sunday, spreading southwards across most of Wales and England, bringing possible hail and thunder.
  • Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said that Saturday's temperatures of 9-10C will feel colder due to the wind, being below average for the season.
  • Milder, more spring-like conditions are expected from Tuesday, with temperatures rising to the mid-teens and potentially 17C in the southeast, though variable weather with some rain will persist, especially in the north and west.
