British rock legends Coldplay made history on Wednesday night, 11/22/23, at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Malaysia.

Attracting a massive crowd of 75,000 fans, their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour concert surpassed the 19-year-old record previously held by Malaysian singing sensation Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza, according to aposter making rounds on social media.

Her 2004 ‘Fantasia Tour’ had set the record with an audience of around 70,000.

This record-breaking event marks Coldplay’s first-ever performance in Malaysia since their formation 27 years ago, showcasing the band’s enduring global appeal.

Following Coldplay, other notable performances at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium include A.R. Rahman’s ‘Secret of Success’ concert in 2023, attracting 67,000 fans, and BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink Tour’ the same year, drawing 62,000 attendees.

Other top-ranked concerts include Jacky Cheung’s 2002 concert with 50,000 fans and Muse’s ‘Will of the People’ performance in 2023, also drawing 50,000.
