
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday extended voting hours for the Dasmariñas, Cavite special election until 5 p.m. due to the prevailing bad weather.
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said that the Commission En Banc unanimously approved the extension.
“The Commission En Banc via a unanimous vote had decided to extend the voting hours of the Dasmarinas special election up to 5 p.m.,” Garcia said.
Voting was originally scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for regular voters.
