MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will start on Monday the printing of ballots for the plebiscite in Naga City and the special election in Batanes.
"Accredited citizens' arms, stakeholders, and members of the media are invited to witness and observe the activity as part of the Commission's commitment to transparency and electoral integrity," the Comelec said.
The ballots will be printed at the National Printing Office in Quezon City.
The printing of ballots will be livestreamed on the Comelec's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The plebiscite, to be held on Nov. 21, aims to ratify the conversion of Naga into a highly urbanized city.
Meanwhile, voters in Batanes will elect on Nov. 28 their representative following the death of Rep. Ciriaco Gato Jr.
