KUALA LUMPUR – Nothing is stopping hardcore Coldplay fans from attending the concert tonight. Not the bad weather, not the traffic jams, and not even a serious injury.

Going through all the pain just to watch the Grammy-winning band is Jolene, a local fan who arrived at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium with crutches, a cast, and a beaming smile.

Jolene said she broke her foot last month but added that it did not dampen her excitement to see the band performing.

“As you can see, I broke my leg recently. But, I will never miss this chance to attend the (Coldplay) concert,” she told Scoop.

Coldplay is scheduled to perform here tonight as part of its Music of the Spheres World Tour.

Coldplay fanatics were seen queuing for their wristbands as early as 9am despite being informed by the organisers that the ticketing counters would only begin operating from noon onwards.

Meanwhile, tickets to the Coldplay concert were sold out within three hours when sales opened earlier this year, indicating the love for the band.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also welcomed Coldplay to perform in Malaysia when the band announced its Kuala Lumpur show on May 9 this year. – November 22, 2023
