KOTA KINABALU: The legal team representing the family of Zara Qairina Mahathir has urged social media influencers to refrain from actions that could intimidate witnesses or distort facts surrounding the case.

The lawyers said some witnesses, particularly students, had been reluctant to come forward due to concerns over online threats and negative attention on social media.

They reminded the public that those who may hold important information should reach out to the police or approach the legal team directly to assist in the pursuit of justice.
