“The car wasn’t seized”

Hamidi Adam, the Director of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) for Kuala Lumpur, mentioned that they didn’t seize the vehicle, and let a licensed passenger drive it home.

Instead, they clarified that the driver, a Chinese national, was given a summons during the Special Integrated Operation for Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025.

“We apologise for any confusion caused,” they added.
