CONVERGE ICT Solutions Inc. on Friday said it was looking to expand in Visayas and Mindanao as it aims to serve more Filipinos across the country.
"We are investing heavily in our network expansion as we push harder for visibility in Visayas and Mindanao,” Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said.
"Among the regions the company will be focusing on are Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao with more than 100,000 ports being made ready for service this year," he added.
"Areas such as Capiz, Samar, Bukidnon, Davao de Oro, Sultan Kudarat will be served by these newly rolled out ports."
The company said it would make nearly one million additional fiber ports available this year and set aside up to P23 billion for capital expenditures.
"In Visayas, definitely the only remaining major island that we have not covered is Samar, as we only have a few ports there,” COO Benjamin Azada said.
“In Mindanao, while we are majorly present in a lot of major cities like Cagayan de Oro and Davao, we have not really penetrated the surrounding municipalities. So that will definitely be our focus for this year."
Converge said that with nearly three million residential subscribers in 2025, its port utilization has reached 37 percent.
As of end-2025, the company registered a total of 9.2 million ports nationwide, translating to 66 percent of homes passed across the country.
Converge's share price fell by 46 centavos to close at P13.00 each on Friday.
