
TAWAU: Converts in Sabah need to be given attention especially in welfare and education aspects so that they do not fall out with the flow of time, said Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan.
According to him, they need better guidance in understanding the teachings of Islam.
Therefore, he said, the preachers and guides should use a da’wah approach for converts to acquire certain skills and expertise when delivering explanations about religion, including the concepts and principles of Islamic da’wah.
“In the context of Malaysia’s pluralistic society, the da’wah approach needs to be constantly improved so that the process of conversion to Islam is well accepted by non-Muslim families.
