Cop pulls over disabled driver for holding phone in hand that doesn’t exist

  • A disabled driver, Kathleen Thomas, 36, was pulled over by a police officer in Palm Beach County on suspicion of distracted driving.
  • The officer accused her of holding her mobile phone in her right hand whilst behind the wheel.
  • Thomas immediately disproved the accusation by showing the officer that she does not have a right hand.
  • Despite her demonstration, the officer initially persisted, asking her to swear on her “other hand”.
  • The citation issued to Thomas was subsequently dismissed by the officer who issued it.
