POLICE confirmed that a shooting incident occurred at a restaurant in Banting last night, resulting in the death of a local man.
Kuala Langat District Police Chief Supt Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, however said the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
“The police received a distress call at approximately 10:05 p.m. regarding the incident.”
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and the motive is still under investigation.”
“Members of the public with information are urged to come forward or by contacting the IPD Kuala Langat Operations Room at 03-3187 2222,” the police chief said.
Based on several photos and video recordings that have gone viral since last night, a man was seen unconscious with injuries against the exterior wall of the fast food establishment.
Also visible were traces believed to be blood on the wall of the fast-food outlet near the man involved.
In the viral video, at least two bullet casings were found on the floor of the premises. – January 5, 2026
