
PETALING JAYA: Police have launched an investigation into photos of a woman which were edited to make her appear nude and uploaded online.
Petaling Jaya police chief Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said the victim, a Malaysian, lodged a report on Jan 20.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});“The woman said her photos were edited to make her appear nude, uploaded on the Tumblr application and sold for RM18 each by an unknown person,” he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which prohibits the sale, distribution, possession or public exhibition of obscene materials.
