Cops probe into woman’s assault of two kids at KL mall

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 - Police are investigating an incident where a woman shoved and hit two children at a mall here yesterday.

Dang Wangi district police chief Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin said a 35-second video that went viral on social media showed an argument between two people following the incident, adding that the father of a child involved in the incident, aged 36, lodged a police report at 7.39pm.

“The complainant said an unknown woman suddenly shoved his son from behind, causing him to fall, while he was walking with his two children aged two and seven at about 3pm.

“The woman also allegedly hit the back of his two-year-old daughter,” he said in a statement last night, adding that an investigation is underway.

Azwan advised the public to refrain from speculating and urged those with information to call the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at 03-2115 9999, Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 03-2600 2222, or visit their neighbourhood police station.
