Cops take Nga’s statement on Christmas celebration at ministry

PETALING JAYA: The police have taken housing and local government minister Nga Kor Ming’s statement regarding a Christmas celebration organised by his ministry last month.

Nga said officers from the Tapah police station in Perak took 90 minutes to record his statement at his office in Putrajaya.

“This is because the ministry celebrated Christmas on Christmas Day. I find it strange – surely we wouldn’t celebrate Deepavali on Christmas or Hari Raya Aidilfitri during Chinese New Year?

Nga also said he had to cancel three programmes due to the police visit.

The reports were filed by PAS Youth and various NGOs, according to a statement posted by PAS Youth on Facebook.
