Cork City goalkeeper David Harrington won't be leaving before next week's transfer deadline.
A target for Everton, Harrington will stay with Cork as they seek the local title.
The Irish Examiner says Harrington is out of contract in October and could join any club at that point, subject to FIFA's compensation statutes for academy graduates, but an agreement could be struck before his current deal expires.
However, the 22 year-old has committed to staying with Cork until the end of their season, with title glory in sight.
Should Everton, who have former Ireland glovesman Alan Kelly as their goalkeeping coach, capture Harrington, he is likely to be loaned back out for a season in search of regular game time.
