Fashion brand COS presented its Spring Summer 2026 collection in Seoul, marking its first runway show in Korea following a series of presentations across Europe and appearances at New York Fashion Week.
The show was staged in a brutalist-inspired venue on the outskirts of the city, where unused pools were repurposed as part of the set design. Models walked through the space accompanied by a soundtrack recorded on the Seoul subway, incorporating ambient city sounds.
The collection featured 40 looks built around a restrained color palette of slate gray, brown, cream and white, with accents of blue and oxblood red. The designs drew from ‘80s and ‘90s influences, with an emphasis on tailoring, fabric treatment and silhouette.
Materials included leather and technical fabrics with a subtle sheen, as well as textured surfaces and lightweight textiles. Transparent elements and layered fabrics were used to create movement and variation across the garments.
In womenswear, the collection referenced ‘90s minimalism through simplified silhouettes, combined with design elements associated with ’80s tailoring, such as structured shoulders. Pieces included sheer ribbed knits, fluid tailoring and silk garments shaped through pleating and draping. The collection also featured trompe l’oeil denim rendered in silk and outerwear designed with extended proportions.
Menswear focused on updated everyday dressing, with slimmer tailoring and functional detailing. Outerwear and tonal ensembles referenced ’80s styling, while suede pieces and leather accessories, including sandals and loafers, completed the looks.
Guests at the show included actors Alexander Skarsgård, Park Gyuyoung, Emma Roberts, Diego Calva, Sohyun Kim, Sooyoung Choi, Shin Haesun, Hong Kyung, Dongwook Lee, Mile Phakphum and Haoyu Chen; singers Ella of Meovv, Seungkwan, Mika Hashizume and Feifei Wang; singer-actor Xiao Cheng; model Irene Kim; artist Jey Jung; and influencers Mayu Kitazawa, Tamu McPherson, Marc Forne and Sophia Roe.
