Costco has issued a series of recalls affecting furniture, cookware, and food items sold across the United States. The notices, released in April, point to risks ranging from structural failures to undeclared allergens.
The affected products include canopy beds that may collapse, sauté pans linked to burn hazards, and bakery goods containing mislabeled ingredients. The company is urging customers to stop using or consuming the items and return them for refunds.
Product Defects Raise Injury Risks Across Home Goods
One of the most serious recalls involves Bellevue and Oaklynn canopy beds sold between October 1, 2024, and February 20, 2026. According to Costco, parts of the canopy structure can collapse when the bed is moved, creating a risk of injury for users.
The beds were distributed under multiple item numbers, including M24109240 (1812503) and M24107230 (1812424). Customers have been instructed to stop using the products immediately and contact Samson International for a refund or replacement. The company is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to manage the recall process.
Cookware has also been affected. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans are being recalled after reports that a metal cap securing the handle can detach and eject when heated. This defect poses both impact and burn hazards.
The recall applies to two-piece sets containing 10-inch and 11.5-inch pans, sold between August 2021 and early 2026. The UPC number identifying the affected sets is 0-80313-08131-6. According to the manufacturer, E Mishan & Sons, about 740,000 units were sold through retailers including Costco, Walmart, and Amazon.
The same source reports at least 98 incidents involving the defect, including one case in which a consumer suffered bruising and burn injuries. Customers are advised to stop using the pans and return them for a full refund.

Food Labeling Error Highlights Allergy Concerns
Beyond household goods, Costco has also recalled a food product due to labeling issues. Traditional Madeleines sold between late March and early April were found to contain undeclared hazelnuts, posing a risk to individuals with tree-nut allergies.
According to Costco’s recall notice, the affected products were distributed in select locations, including California, Florida, Illinois, Virginia, Washington, and Puerto Rico. The issue appears to stem from mislabeling, with some packages failing to disclose the presence of hazelnuts. Customers with allergies have been told not to consume the product under any circumstances. Costco has stated that refunds will be issued even if the item has already been opened, reflecting its standard return policy.
The company has emphasized that these recalls are precautionary and part of its broader safety commitments. According to its member communications, Costco is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates if additional risks are identified. For consumers, the recalls serve as a reminder to review recent purchases and stay informed about safety notices. The range of affected products, from furniture to food, shows how varied such risks can be, even within a single retailer’s inventory.
