Who is Alia Merican? As a young investigator, could Alia have solved the Altantuya murder?

In the book to be launched Silencing the Lambs by CEO and author Sajeet Soudagor, protagonist Alia investigates a series of global murders. This book may be filmed into Netflix episodes. This historical thriller delves into the dangerous world of crime and secret societies.

Silencing the Lambs is set in contemporary Malaysia, where Alia uncovers a chilling mystery with roots in ancient history. The narrative connects the Mauryan Empire of Asoka the Great to today's world, reminiscent of The Da Vinci Code. Facing personal demons, Alia gets caught in a sinister plot dating back to Emperor Ashoka's reign. Her investigation reveals a cryptic message linked to archaeology's enigmatic history.

Alia's adventure takes her from the ancient chambers of Pataliputra to modern Kuala Lumpur, Rome, and Shiraz. She faces the echoes of the past and present-day treachery and murder. Sajeet Soudagor, also a freelance journalist, writes about relationships, technology, and current events. He has travelled extensively and holds an advisory role at the University of Kebangsan Malaysia. Sajeet is the Founder and CEO of Knight Information Solutions, where he blends entrepreneurship with philanthropy.

Silencing The Lambs offers a thrilling mix of historical mysteries and unexpected twists, as Alia seeks to uncover the truth. The past becomes a tangible force, challenging today's reality. Malay movie director Kabir Bhatia plans to adapt the novel into a Netflix series.

The official book launch is scheduled for May 25th at the Raj in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya. A pre-launch event recently took place at the Majestic Hotel's Writers' Room, once frequented by famous writers like Somerset Maughan.
