In 2010, Jaram Singh was unanimously elected panchayat up-pradhan. Again in 2015, he was elected up-pradhan of Madholi gram panchayat after the pradhan’s post was reserved for Schedule Caste women. They could not contest the panchayat elections in 2020 but this time, the couple won both posts in the panchayat.
Jaram Singh claimed that he and his wife Veena had always rendered selfless service to the residents of their panchayat.
