But the tuxedo-clad, martini-sipping spy James Bond is not the only iconic secret agent the world of cinema has given us. When Daniel Craig first donned the tuxedo as James Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale, he brought with him a fresh intensity to the fictional world of high-stakes espionage. This film had it all: iconic action sequences, glamorous locations and James Bond at his finest.

Bond first appeared on the big screen in Dr. No (1962), adapted from Fleming’s 1958 spy thriller novel of the same name. Since then, the famous agent has become the face of a blockbuster franchise spanning 25 films.

Over the decades, Bond, better known as Agent 007, has been portrayed by six actors in the Eon franchise: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Yet, no matter who plays the part, the character’s essence remains the same.
