MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Health (DOH) reported a 70 percent decline in Covid-19 cases compared to the same period last year.
In a statement on Friday, the DOH said only 1,532 cases were reported between January 4 to July 11 this year compared to the 5,070 cases reported last year.
“While the number of reported cases remains low, the public is encouraged to continue practicing simple but effective health habits to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses,” the agency said.
