After 3 years since her last K-Drama, 39, Son Ye-jin has been focused on her personal life. In 2022, she and co-star Hyun-bin from Crash Landing On You, tied the knot.

What's it about: An upcoming thriller drama set in the idol industry, directed by Kim Yong-hoon, known for the hit Netflix series Mask Girl. The production team is currently casting both active and former idols for key roles, with the story revolving around an idol group created specifically for the show. Former IZ*ONE member and Squid Game 2 star Jo Yu-ri is reportedly in talks for a lead role, while Son Ye-jin has been offered a part as a sharp-witted, outspoken character.
2. Scandal - currently filming with Ji Chang-wook
What's it about: An upcoming Netflix historical drama set during the Joseon Dynasty, adapted from the 2003 film Untold Scandal, which itself is based on the French novel Dangerous Liaisons. The series is expected to be directed by Jung Ji Woo, known for works like Somebody and Tune in for Love.
3. No Other Choice - just concluded filming with Lee Byung-hun
What's it about: A suspense thriller about an office worker who, after being abruptly fired, desperately searches for a new job to protect his family and home. Based on the novel The Ax, Lee Byung-hun stars as Man Soo, a dedicated employee laid off after 25 years at a paper company, while Son Ye-jin plays his wife, Mi Ri, who steps up to support their family. The film's impressive cast, includes Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Yoo Yeon-seok.
