Crew Connect Global 2026 targets key maritime issues

SEATRADE Maritime Crew Connect Global returns to Manila for its annual conference and exhibition, this time setting its spotlights on some of the most critical issues affecting the maritime industry and its seafarers.

The conference, slated on Oct. 20 to 22 at the Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, will highlight geopolitics, criminalization, accountability, the dark fleet, energy transition, shipping technology, STCW Phase 2 updates, and the human cost of shipping.

Considered to be the world’s premier maritime crewing conference, Crew Connect is expected to gather more than 750 maritime leaders and professionals, around 70 of the best industry suppliers, and more than 85 industry experts and visionaries speaking in the conference.

The delegates and speakers comprise of veteran maritime professionals around the world to include leaders from key maritime organizations such as International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), European Commission, and the World Maritime University (WMU). It also includes chief executives from major shipping and manning companies in the Philippines.

The conference is complemented with an exposition hall, an awards ceremony, and a gala dinner to ensure that networking is at the heart of the event.
