Mimmo Criscito is enjoying his work with Genoa.
The former Italy defender is now Genoa U14 coach.
On first team coach Alberto Gilardino, Criscito said: "We're having an excellent championship, we've always played openly with everyone.
"Much credit goes to Gilardino who is doing an excellent job. Let's hope that Genoa can reach Europe soon, I see it as tough this year but in a few years maybe yes.
"This season Genoa's most important player is (Albert) Gudmundsson, he's proving it.
"Who does (Mateo) Retegui remind me of? He's a penalty area player, like Gilardino, he also always fought inside the area."
