SEMPORNA: A 36-year-old plantation worker is missing after he is believed to have been attacked by a crocodile at Sungai Pegagau, here, on Sunday.
It was leant that the man’s colleagues saw him being dragged into the river by a crocodile while fishing along the banks around 3.15pm.
The Semporna Fire and Rescue Services Department continued its search for the Filipino, named Marvin Susa Dequillia, Monday.
Firemen could not reach the scene immediately as they could not deploy their boats due to the receding river water.
“Our rescue boat could not pass through (on Sunday),” the spokesman said, adding the operations resumed on Monday.
