Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson admits Jes Rak-Sakyi's injury is a major setback.

The winger has suffered a serious hamstring problem.

Hodgson said, "We're very disappointed for him. I'm hoping that the scan in 10 days' time will maybe be a bit more positive than the initial one, but I'm afraid he's going to be looking at quite a considerable period of time where he's got to fight his way back.

But it's happened to so many people before him, and his attitude towards it is good. For us, we're just very fortunate that, had this happened when we'd have still been without the four or five players we were without only a couple of weeks back, adding him to the list would have been very, very difficult.

At least now our list of injuries is not that long. It's the goalkeeper, it's Tomkins who will be fit, and now it's Jes. So we're actually in a much better situation injury-wise now than most clubs around us."
