Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell enjoys playing for manager Patrick Vieira.
Mitchell says working under Vieira is like having "a role model and a manager at the same time," as he looked ahead to Palace facing Southampton at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
“He's been a massive help," Mitchell said of his manager, who has overseen his transition to first-choice left-back at the club he joined aged 16.
“The energy, the presence he brings, it makes you want to be a better player, knowing all that he accomplished. Knowing that when he speaks to you he wants the best for you.
“It's like a role model and a manager at the same time. He just wants us to play how we know we can play. We have great players throughout.
“He wants us to be expressive on the ball, to have fun and to win games."
