Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been added to the England U21 squad for the first time.
Wharton replaces Carney Chukwuemeka, who has returned to Chelsea to work on an injury knock received.
The midfielder has been promoted from the England U20 squad.
England face a European U21 Championship qualifier against Luxembourg on Tuesday night.
