Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard says fans will be key tonight against Brighton.

Looking back beyond February's 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park to last season's Premier League encounters, twice Palace led deep into the game, and twice they were pegged back late on.

Those games were frustrating," Edouard recalls. They were decent games.

"We managed to score first. We do what we do for most of the game and then we conceded those late goals. It was unlucky. There is more motivation to win this one."

As his team attempt to give everything on the pitch, Edouard is relying on the Palace fans to provide that extra decibel of noise off it.

It is even louder there is more chanting against Brighton, so it is good," he told today's match programme. It will be important for us, because it is like the 12th man on the pitch.

"They have to give their voices from the first minute to the last minute, to push every player to be at 200% to win this game. We need the fans."
