CSC warns against unauthorized use of its name, logo

INDIVIDUALS or groups that unlawfully use the name, logo and official identity of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) face criminal prosecution and imprisonment, CSC Chairman Marilyn Yap warned on Thursday.

Yap made the warning after the agency started receiving reports that some individuals and groups were illegally using the CSC logo and falsely presenting themselves as connected with the commission. The commission has not authorized any individual, organization, review center or entity to use its name, logo or even its former emblem for any activity, promotion, solicitation, recruitment campaign, production of materials, enrollment drives or other undertakings, Yap said. “These acts deceive the public, undermine the integrity of our services and may expose unsuspecting individuals to fraud and misinformation,” she said. The CSC said it maintains only one official account each on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Likewise, every CSC Regional Office has only one official Facebook page. Yap also clarified that the CSC does not conduct review classes, sell examination reviewers or distribute review materials for the Aug. 9, 2026, Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test, or any future civil service examinations. She called on the public to report any individual or group misrepresenting the CSC.
