Everton boss Marco Silva has dismissed diving claims against Richarlison.

The Brazilian international seemed visibly frustrated in the Blues most recent match against Spurs, in particular having a potential penalty waved away by Martin Atkinson after seeemingly being fouled by Davinson Sanchez.

"There are two different things I want to talk about," said Silva.

"First, he's [ Richarlison ] receiving feedback from myself and the staff. I was responsible for him coming to the Premier League and I'm 100% sure I took the right decision in that moment two seasons ago, and I took the right decision again to give the feedback for our club to sign him.

"We are working with him to be more strong. The Premier League is really tough.

"The second point, Richarlison is not a diver at all. At all.

"I will tell all of you one thing, Richarlison has zero yellow cards in the Premier League for diving. Zero. Zero.

"How many counter-attacking players have zero yellow cards for diving? That is a fact, it's not just my opinion it is a fact.

"He's not diving at all. Last game is a good example, last two Premier League games, how many free kicks on him? How many penalties?

"But how many yellow cards for diving? Zero again. I'll repeat, we are working with him to be more strong in the contact."
