New Balance could yet remain Liverpool's kit sponsor next season.
Their 50m-a-year agreement expires in June and in England it's claimed a deal with Nike has been struck.
It's been suggested the American sportswear giant will pay 90m-a-year to partner with Liverpool.
However, Foot Mercato says New Balance are ready to play their trump card.
As part of the existing agreement, there is a first refusal option which will be triggered should New Balance match the highest offer.
And it's suggested they see value in sticking with Liverpool - even at 90m-a-year.
