  • The ship, carrying 277 people, was departing for a goodwill tour when it veered off course and struck the bridge, snapping its three masts.
  • Initial reports suggest a mechanical issue caused the ship to lose power and head towards the bridge.
  • The two deceased crew members were identified as América Yamilet Sánchez and Adal Jair Marcos. Five of the injured were in critical condition.
