
Kuala Lumpur: To welcome the Year of the Snake, Malaysia’s Healthy Home Creator, CUCKOO International (MAL) Berhad (“CUCKOO International” or “CUCKOO”), together with Nurjiwa Foundation, embraced the spirit of giving with the #SAMASAMABuatBaik Chinese New Year Charity Luncheon at Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event united over 120 orphans and elderly guests from Persatuan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Jing Sun, Yayasan Sunbeams, and Charis Home for a meaningful celebration filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.
CUCKOO International’s Executive Director and CEO, Mr. KC Hoe (Hoe Kian Choon) expressed his dedication to making a difference, stating, “At CUCKOO International, we believe that prosperity is truly meaningful when shared. AdvertisementThe event began with a lively celebration featuring a lion dance and a fascinating face-changing (bian lian) performance by children from Persatuan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Jing Sun. Astro’s Year of the Snake mascot, Xilele 喜乐乐, also made a special appearance, followed by captivating performances from veteran singers and artists, Xiao Wei Wei 小薇薇, Tedd Chan 曾国辉, Hayden 黃程晞, and Jonathan Lee李浩菖 with Astro’s 2025 CNY Theme Song – SHARE丰年, and CNY classic, ‘Cai Sheng Dao’ 财神到 (Here Comes The God of Fortune). The event then culminated with a moving performance of ‘Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin’ 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), ‘Zheng Fu’ 征服 (Conquered) and ‘Bukan Cinta Biasa’ by Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Chairperson of the Nurjiwa Foundation who is also CUCKOO's Brand Ambassador.
Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza delivered three moving performances including ‘Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin’ 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), ‘Zheng Fu’ 征服 (Conquered) and ‘Bukan Cinta Biasa’.
“Chinese New Year is a time of joy, togetherness, and giving. I am truly honoured to celebrate this special occasion today with everyone here, sharing not just a meal, but also moments of warmth and happiness. I am also happy that the ambassadorship has blossomed into a greater partnership that makes a difference and positive change to the community. Through Yayasan Nurjiwa and CUCKOO, we hope to continue spreading love, touching lives, and making a lasting impact for those in need,” said Chairperson of the Nurjiwa Foundation and CUCKOO Brand Ambassador, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
The #SAMASAMABuatBaik CNY Charity Luncheon, organised by CUCKOO and Nurjiwa Foundation, is also supported by Multimedia Group, Astro, Kinohimitsu, SRJK (C) Yoke Nam and Persatuan Keturunan Xu Pantai Selangor. It is also part of the ‘CUCKOO Loves, Care Project’, a long-term project that focuses on creating a positive impact on communities through various community and social initiatives. Previously, CUCKOO has supported the Nurjiwa Foundation in raising funds for charity works through the 'Sebuah Epitome Saya Siti Nurhaliza' concert and supported the SIMPLYSITI Di Hati 2019 fundraising event to fund children who are seeking treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) Malaysia. The Nurjiwa Foundation is a charitable organisation founded by Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Dato’ Sri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, dedicated to supporting those in need through various humanitarian initiatives.
