The Korean cooking reality TV show became a global phenomenon after the premiere of its first season in 2024. In fact, season 1 was the first Korean unscripted series to lead Netflix’s global Top 10 Non-English TV list for three consecutive weeks! The show reached number one in multiple countries, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea.
Season 1 was not only a massive success on Netflix but also ignited interest in Seoul’s restaurant scene. Produced by Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji, season 2 promises to captivate viewers with new twists, fierce competition and an even stronger focus on culinary skill and creativity.
Talking about their commitment to spotlighting the skills of every chef, the producers said (via The Korea Times), “Gratefully, more chefs have resonated with the spirit of Culinary Class Wars and decided to participate.” They added that they “worked hard to properly lay out a stage where the chefs, in gratitude for their courage to take on the challenge, could play to their hearts’ content.”

Who are the judges of season 2?
Culinary Class Wars season 2 brings back its original judges — Paik Jong-won, a leading chef and restaurateur in Korea who owns over 20 food, beverage and restaurant brands and has hosted various cooking shows, and fine-dining king Anh Sung-jae, the head chef and owner of Mosu, which became Korea’s only Michelin three-star restaurant in 2023.
