The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, sarcastically stated that the opposition accused the Unity Government of being the worst government in the country's history for effectively demonstrating that there is no culture of embezzling the people's money.
According to Utusan Malaysia, Anwar said that within six months of acquiring power, directives were issued requiring all tenders to be processed in an orderly manner, with no commission, land, shares, or wood being taken from specific parties.
In fact, he claims that the record can be kept until now. "Some opposition figures claim that the Prime Minister and the government in place now are the worst in history.
"We are viewed as a bad government because we don't steal money and we don't oppress any group. In fact, we have increased allocations for the governments of Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, and Terengganu," he said on Sunday at the Negeri Sembilan Government and Malaysia Madani Open House at the Seremban City Council.
Anwar further stated that his main goal is for the government to eliminate poverty for all citizens, without distinction, in all states.
Furthermore, he challenged any party claiming to have enough support to destabilize the Unity Government to introduce the resolution to Parliament this month. "Please...we will fight it out in Parliament to see who has the most strength."
"If not, make some noise and whisper here and there 126 and 114." We will divide the road, and I will not suspend Parliament or declare a state of emergency because I want to put a stop to criticisms about the country's political instability," he stated.
He emphasized that right now, he wants to focus on defending the fate and welfare of the people. Anwar went on to say that the current government will be defended and that it will be strong and stable enough to drive the country's economy while also defending the fate of the people.
