Derby defender Curtis Davies admits he doesn't know what he is going to do this summer.

Davies is waiting to see what happens with Derby's ownership situation before making a decision.

Former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is attempting to purchase the Rams, who have been relegated to League One.

"I still don't know and until there is an owner at Derbyto be able to speak about a contract, I don't know," Davies said.

"I've said that I'd like to stay here and be part of the team that gets promoted again, but ultimately I want to continue playing. So if there was an opportunity out there, then I'd be silly not to take something.

"I'm hoping that with the rumours of another potential new owner, I'm hoping one of them gets over the line if not for me than for the club in general."
