THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) remains on track to achieve its P1-trillion revenue collection target for 2026 after exceeding both monthly and first-half goals.
Preliminary data released by the agency showed that it collected P86.073 billion in June, exceeding the P83.220-billion goal. It is also higher than P77.035 billion recorded in the same month last year
This brought cumulative collections to P491.748 billion, surpassing the January-to-June target of P480.270 billion. This is also higher than the P458.771 billion collected during the same period in 2025.
“Every peso we collected is the result of the collective efforts of our personnel across all collection districts, enforcement units, and offices,” Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said in a statement.
He added that “strengthened customs enforcement, enhanced trade facilitation, improved compliance measures, and the continued modernization of customs systems and processes” has helped lift the bureau’s collection for the period.
“The BOC remains focused on sustaining its strong performance and achieving its P1 trillion revenue target for 2026,” he said.
Nepomuceno said revenue generation also received a boost from the Post-Clearance Audit Group, which contributed P2.283 billion.
He added that tighter border protection, digital transformation initiatives and institutional reforms under the agency’s Integrity, Accountability and Modernization Movement had strengthened revenue administration.
