PETALING JAYA: Cypark Resources Bhd has secured Feed-in Approval from the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) for the expansion of its waste-to-energy (WTE) plant in Port Dickson, with an installed capacity of 44.73 megawatts (MW).
The group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Cypark Smart Technology Sdn Bhd, was listed by SEDA as a successful applicant under the 2026 Feed-in Tariff (FiT) system, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The approval covers a 44.73MW installed capacity and 29.99MW net export capacity under the biomass category for its Solid Waste Modular Advanced Recovery and Treatment WTE plant at Ladang Tanah Merah, Port Dickson.
Cypark said the successful FiT application represented a key milestone towards the implementation of Phase 2 of the WTE plant.
The company had previously announced that it had received approval to undertake Phase 2 of the WTE plant in Port Dickson under a supplementary concession agreement with the government.
