Liverpool striker Divock Origi is convinced of the hunger inside the European champions' squad.
Origi, though, points to a young squad only James Milner, Simon Mignolet, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren are in their 30s while seven first-team squad regulars are aged 25 or younger as being key to Liverpool possessing a desire for more silverware.
There has been a very positive energy since we reported back for pre-season," said Origi to the Liverpool Echo. It is a good energy to work in.
"There's a sense of being proud of what we achieved but a hunger too.
I am still young and we are still a young group. I want to use this to make the next step and continue to be successful because I really believe that we have everything here to do that.
Even coming into Melwood, with all the people that work here, you feel there is something special going on here.
It's certainly something we all hope to make happen. I am somebody who always sets goals and wants to go further and that is the same for everyone as a team as well as a club.
Winning major honours is one of the main values of the club. We will fight and by doing that I think we have a good chance of positive things happening again in the future."
