Manchester United are set to hand Timothy Fosu-Mensah a new contract.
Off contract in June and recovering from knee surgery, United want to secure the Dutch fullback to a new deal in order not to lose him for nothing next summer.
United have a one-sided option to extend the contract by one year.
If United triggers the option, Fosu-Mensah will see a salary increase of 20,000-a-week, to 23,500-a-week.
The defender spent last season on-loan with Fulham.
